Community Techaid is a grassroots digital inclusion charity focused on reducing digital inequality and electronic waste at the same time. By refurbishing donated technology and redistributing it to people who need it most, we help individuals access education, employment, training, healthcare, and essential online services that would otherwise be out of reach.

What makes us unique is our community-led approach. We work directly with charities, schools, community organisations, and support services to ensure devices reach people facing genuine barriers to digital access, including low-income households, refugees, young carers, unemployed adults, and people experiencing homelessness or social isolation. Alongside device redistribution, we provide digital skills support, connectivity assistance, and guidance that helps beneficiaries build confidence using technology safely and effectively. This ensures our impact goes beyond simply providing equipment — we help people participate fully in modern digital life.

Our environmental impact is equally important. Every refurbished device extends the lifespan of technology, diverts electronic waste from landfill, and reduces the carbon emissions associated with manufacturing new devices. Through secure data wiping, responsible refurbishment, and sustainable reuse practices, we support a more circular and socially responsible technology sector.
