NextPath: powering inclusion through circular technology

NextPath is a UK-based tech sector led CIC/social enterprise transforming digital exclusion into digital opportunity by giving end-of-service-life laptops a meaningful second life. We work with organisational partners to source high-quality surplus devices, refurbish them to a consistent, reliable standard, and distribute them through trusted intermediaries including local authorities, housing associations and charities, who take on "the last mile" and can provide whatever support the ultimate recipient needs.

Our model is intentionally simple and built for scale. Devices are made available for £29.99, each with a full one-year guarantee, removing cost as a barrier while maintaining confidence in quality. This combination of affordability, assurance and partnership enables rapid deployment into communities where access to technology can be life-changing. The funding enables organisations to focus on what they do best, knowing that quality devices are available wherever and whenever they need them. The resulting funds are used to contribute to some of the core costs of those organisations involved in the process which, in turn, makes the process sustainable which is critical given the size of the problem (3-5 million people in the UK lacking access to a good working laptop). 

NextPath sits at the intersection of circular economy thinking and social impact delivery. By extending the usable life of existing devices, we reduce electronic waste and associated carbon emissions, while opening up access to education, employment, healthcare and connection for those currently excluded.

Demand is strong and growing, and our model is designed to scale efficiently through established distribution networks. As volumes increase, so too does our ability to deliver measurable environmental and social returns in tandem.
